We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join an SEMH school in the South West London area. The position will include supporting and mentoring students who are disengaged with their education and need extra support to develop their learning. The successful Teaching Assistant will be providing an education to students on an outreach basis, one to one and in small groups.

The school provides an education to students with SEMH and or additional needs and caters for students from ages 11-18. The school has a Nurture based approach, with positive management of behaviour, using a rewards system that promotes positive outcomes. Each young person at the school has their own educational plan and timetable, so that the support received is individually tailored to their need.

The successful Teaching Assistant will need to have a flexible approach to providing an accessible and truly inclusive education that meets the complex needs of the students. As a Teaching Assistant you will provide support to young people in small groups, pairs or individually as appropriate.
