We are looking for a dedicated teacher to work within a SEN school for children between the ages of 5-16 years old to teach English. The school is based in Lambeth with good transport links via buses and trains.

The school caters towards children who have suffered adverse childhood experiences. These are known as ACEs and include trauma and toxic stress and complex SEMH needs, as well as other associated SEND.

Being an English Teacher for this school is more than just teaching, you will be an advocate and a cheerleader for your students. The English Teacher will demonstrate patience and the creativity to think outside the box to teach the curriculum, whilst demonstrating care and resilience to support each individual student.

The ideal English Teacher will have previous experience working with SEMH children have the awareness of TEACCH method. The English Teacher will be working closely with therapists to support the students social, emotional, behavioural and educational development. The English Teacher will have a good first degree in English and clear understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
