We are looking for a passionate Higher Level Teaching
Assistant to work within a SEN school for children between the ages of 11-18
years old. The school is based in High Wycombe with good transport links via
buses and trains.
Being a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for this school
will require you to support all learners to achieve their full potential by
providing an engaging and nurturing approach to all of its SEND students. SEMH
children in particular can often display challenging behaviour and come from
different circumstances which can make progression into mainstream school
difficult. This Higher-Level Teaching Assistant will be expected to plan,
prepare and deliver learning activities to individuals and small groups.
The ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be committed
to providing students with engaging, innovative and an adaptive approach to
education. The Higher-Level Teaching Assistant must be dedicated to helping
children and be resilient and understanding towards the challenges that come
their way. The school offers induction training and support for all members of staff,
and they value professional development.
