An Alternative Provision in Southwark is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their committed team. The school provides rehabilitation for students who have been excluded from, or are struggling within, mainstream education. Many of the pupils face significant challenges, including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, and the school is known for its individualised support strategies.

The successful teaching assistant will play a vital role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom. You’ll be working closely with teaching staff to help re-engage learners, develop positive behaviour strategies, and build trusting relationships that support emotional wellbeing. Experience working in alternative provision, or SEN environment will be highly beneficial, and a calm, patient, and consistent approach is essential.
