We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can provide a supportive and nurturing environment for the children at the school. This role is a unique opportunity to really make a difference to children’s lives. To be suitable for this role you will need to be an engaging, innovative, adaptable and patient individual to provide the best care and environment possible for the children.

This Teaching Assistant position is Monday – Friday during school term time only. A full and detailed induction will be provided to the successful Teaching Assistant as well as regular training, to ensure you have everything you need to succeed.

As a Teaching Assistant working with boys with autism, you will be expected to support students who may display a wide range of behaviours and learning needs. These can include difficulties with communication, challenges in understanding social interactions, sensory sensitivities, and heightened anxiety in unfamiliar or overwhelming situations. Some students may also display behaviours that challenge, such as withdrawing, becoming distressed, or struggling to regulate their emotions. Building trust and strong relationships will be key, as you guide students to engage with learning, manage transitions, and develop independence.
