Job Description

Are you eager to support children with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties to engage, express, and grow through English and communication?

Can you bring kindness, patience, and creativity to help make lessons accessible, fun, and meaningful for each individual?

-Immediate start available

-Supportive leadership and ongoing training

-Competitive pay

-Help shape communication, reading, and writing development in every child

We’re looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join Landon School. You will support teachers in the classroom, working one-to-one or in small groups to build reading, writing, phonics, and communication skills, while adapting resources and activities to suit individual learning styles. You will be helping to monitor pupil progress, encouraging positive behaviour, and working collaboratively with therapists and staff to embed strategies into everyday lessons. By supporting both academic and social development, you will create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and understood.

Experience working with pupils with autism, severe learning difficulties, or similar SEND is desirable, but what matters most is compassion, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to helping children make progress.

If you’re excited to make a difference and be part of a school where “Safe, Happy, Learning” is more than just words, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today!
