Job Description

Are you passionate about helping children communicate, connect, and thrive in their learning environment?

Do you want to make a real difference supporting students with speech, language, and communication needs?

-Full-time role starting January

-Permanent position with training and development opportunities

-Supportive SEN school environment

-Make a genuine difference to children’s confidence and communication every day

We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist Assistant to join a specialist school setting near Heathrow. The school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including speech, language, and communication difficulties, autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

As a Speech and Language Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with the onsite Speech and Language Therapist and teaching staff to support pupils’ communication development. You will assist in delivering therapy programmes, run small group or one-to-one sessions, and help integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment. Your work will focus on building students’ confidence, social skills, and ability to express themselves effectively.

To be successful, you should have experience supporting children with additional or communication needs, ideally in an educational or therapy-based setting. Strong communication skills, empathy, and a proactive approach are essential. A background in psychology, education, linguistics, or speech and language therapy would be highly advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a rewarding and progressive environment while supporting pupils to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

If you are passionate about making a positive impact every day, apply today to join a dedicated team committed to transforming lives!
