We are seeking a dedicated Assistant SENDCo to join a specialist SEN school in the Redhill area. The school provides tailored education for children and young people with Autism and additional learning needs, offering a supportive, structured and inclusive environment where staff work collaboratively to ensure every student achieves their full potential.


As the Assistant SENDCo, you will support the SENDCo in overseeing the school’s SEND provision, ensuring that EHCPs, interventions and personalised learning plans are effectively implemented. You will help coordinate SEN support across the school, work closely with teachers and support staff to model best practice, and contribute to targeted interventions that promote academic, social and emotional progress.


Your role will also involve building strong relationships with families, liaising with external professionals, supporting annual reviews, and ensuring that SEND documentation remains accurate and compliant. You will actively champion inclusive practice and contribute to a positive, nurturing culture for pupils with a diverse range of needs.


To be successful, you should have strong experience supporting pupils with Autism and additional learning needs, along with a solid understanding of SEND processes, EHCPs and effective intervention strategies. A teaching qualification is preferred, and experience in a specialist or SEN-focused setting is highly desirable. Strong communication, organisation and the ability to lead others are essential.
