We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the Merton area. The school supports children and young people with Autism, communication needs and additional learning requirements. With small class sizes, a therapeutic approach and a highly supportive team structure, the school provides an inclusive and nurturing environment where staff work collaboratively to ensure every student achieves their full potential.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in accessing tailored learning activities that meet their individual needs. You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to implement strategies that promote engagement, communication, independence and emotional regulation. Your role will also involve offering consistent encouragement, assisting with daily routines, helping to implement therapeutic approaches and contributing to a safe, calm and positive learning environment.

To be successful, you should have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting or supporting those with Autism or communication needs. Strong communication, resilience, adaptability and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs are essential.

If you are ready to make a meaningful difference in SEN education, apply today and take the next step in your career!
