Job Description

Are you an experienced Food Technology Teacher passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs?

Do you have the practical skills and creativity to deliver engaging, meaningful lessons where every student can develop independence and confidence?

- Full-time, permanent Food Technology Teacher role starting ASAP
- Supportive specialist SEN school environment

- Excellent opportunities for professional growth

We are seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in the Croydon area. The school supports young people with autism and additional learning needs, providing a structured, nurturing environment where pupils are supported to develop essential life skills alongside academic learning.

As the Food Technology Teacher, you will plan and deliver practical, differentiated Food Technology lessons tailored to meet individual needs. You will support pupils in developing cooking skills, understanding nutrition and building independence, while working closely with support staff to ensure lessons are accessible and engaging. The role also involves promoting positive behaviour, supporting social development and maintaining a safe, well-managed learning environment.

To be successful, you should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have relevant teaching experience in Food Technology. Experience working within an SEN or inclusive setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills, patience and a genuine commitment to supporting young people with additional needs are essential.

If you are ready to make a meaningful impact through practical learning and education, apply today and take the next step in your teaching career.
