We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join
a specialist post-16 provision supporting young people with autism and complex
learning needs. The setting provides a structured, supportive environment
focused on developing independence, communication and life skills to prepare
students for adulthood.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students
on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them access tailored learning
programmes and vocational activities. You will work closely with teaching staff
and the wider SEN team to promote engagement, independence and positive
behaviour. The role also involves supporting social and emotional development
and contributing to a safe, consistent and nurturing learning environment.
To be successful, you should have experience working with
young people with SEN, ideally within a secondary or post-16 setting. Strong
communication skills, adaptability and a genuine commitment to supporting
students with additional needs are essential.
