This South London-based SEN school offers an excellent opportunity for an Assistant SENCO to join a forward-thinking educational environment. This Assistant SENCO position is a full-time permanent role, during term time. They are committed to delivering tailored support for students with special educational needs and works collaboratively to ensure all learners can access a high-quality education.

As an Assistant SENCO, you will support the SENCO in leading and managing provision for students with a range of additional needs. You will play a key role in coordinating support, liaising with staff, families, and external agencies, and ensuring that appropriate interventions are in place to meet individual needs. You will benefit from a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing professional development opportunities to support your growth in the role.

Support the SENCO in managing SEN provision across the school, including assisting with the identification and assessment of students with additional needs. You will help develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP provision, while monitoring student progress to ensure interventions are effective. The role also involves working closely with teaching staff to adapt learning strategies and promote inclusive practice, liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure coordinated support, and contributing to staff training and the ongoing development of inclusive teaching approaches.
