We are seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to
join a specialist school in the Hounslow area. The school supports children
with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties
and learning challenges, providing a structured and nurturing environment where
staff work collaboratively to support each pupil's development.
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils
on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them access tailored learning
activities suited to their individual needs. You will work closely with
teachers and the wider SEN team to promote engagement, positive behaviour and
independence, while supporting pupils’ social and emotional development within
a safe and consistent classroom environment.
To be successful, you should have experience working with
children or young people with SEN, ideally within a primary or specialist
setting. Experience supporting pupils with autism, communication needs or
learning difficulties is desirable. Strong communication skills, resilience and
the ability to build positive relationships with pupils are essential.
