Martin
at Education 365 is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming secondary
school in Bromley to find a dedicated Cover Supervisor. This is a wonderful
opportunity to join a team that values positive relationships, high
expectations and giving every pupil the chance to succeed.
We
would love to hear from approachable, dependable people who can bring a
reassuring presence to the classroom, connect naturally with young people and
help them feel confident and motivated throughout the school day.
As
a Cover Supervisor, you will step in when a teacher is absent, guide pupils
through pre-prepared lessons and encourage them to complete their work
independently. You will keep learning on track, take registers, monitor
engagement and provide useful feedback to teaching colleagues after each
lesson.
Just
as importantly, you will create a calm, respectful environment by setting clear
expectations, managing behaviour fairly and noticing when a pupil needs extra
encouragement or support. You will work closely with teachers, pastoral and
SEND colleagues to help every young person feel included and supported.
Experience
working with young people, ideally in a school, youth work or similar setting,
is important. You will need confident communication, good organisational and IT
skills, and GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent). A
degree would be welcomed, but is not essential.
If
you have already worked as a Cover Supervisor, or have relevant experience and
feel ready for your next step in education, we would be pleased to hear from
you. The school values teamwork, a proactive attitude and the willingness to
learn, with professional development available to help you grow.
This
is a permanent position working 35 hours a week across 44 weeks each year. A
commitment to safeguarding, appropriate pre-employment checks and the right to
work in the UK are essential. The salary shown is the school’s published
direct-employment rate; any agency PAYE arrangement would be confirmed
separately.
If
this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please apply today or contact
Martin at Education 365 for a warm, friendly and confidential conversation. We
would love to learn more about you and what you could bring to the school.
