We are seeking a dedicated History and Geography Teacher
to join a specialist SEN school in the Leatherhead area. The school provides
tailored education for children and young people with Autism and additional
learning needs, offering a highly supportive and inclusive setting where staff
work collaboratively to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
As the Humanities Teacher, you will plan and deliver
creative, differentiated History and Geography lessons that meet the needs of
pupils with diverse learning profiles. You will work closely with teaching
assistants and the wider SEN team to implement strategies that support
communication, independence, and academic progress. Your role will also involve
promoting positive behaviour, building strong relationships, and fostering
social and emotional development within a nurturing classroom environment.
To be successful, you should hold Qualified Teacher
Status (QTS) and bring experience teaching History and/or Geography. Experience
within an SEN setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication,
adaptability, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people with Autism
and additional needs are essential.
