We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a
specialist secondary provision in the High Wycombe area. The school supports
young people with a range of additional learning and social, emotional needs,
offering a structured and supportive environment where staff work
collaboratively to help pupils achieve both academically and personally.
As the Humanities Teacher, you will plan and deliver
engaging, differentiated History and Geography lessons tailored to meet
individual learning needs. You will support pupils in developing critical
thinking, subject knowledge and confidence, while working closely with support
staff to promote positive behaviour and engagement. The role also involves
contributing to personalised learning plans and supporting pupils’ social and
emotional development within a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
To be successful, you should hold Qualified Teacher Status
(QTS) and have experience teaching History and/or Geography at secondary level.
Experience working within an SEN or alternative provision setting is desirable
but not essential. Strong communication skills, flexibility and a genuine
commitment to supporting young people with additional needs are essential.
