Job Description

Are you an experienced teacher passionate about supporting children with special educational needs?

Do you have the skills and dedication to create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment where every pupil can thrive?

- Full-time SEN Teacher role starting ASAP

We are seeking two dedicated SEN Teachers to join a specialist primary SEN school in the Merton area. The school supports pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties, including autism, physical disabilities and sensory needs, providing a highly structured and supportive environment where staff work collaboratively to meet each pupil’s individual needs.

As an SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils within either KS1 or KS2, depending on your role. You will work closely with teaching assistants and the wider SEN team to support communication, engagement and positive behaviour, while promoting independence and emotional development within a safe and nurturing classroom environment.

To be successful, you should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a specialist or inclusive primary setting. Experience supporting pupils with complex needs is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, adaptability and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs are essential.
