Job Description

An ‘Good' Secondary school situated in the London Borough of Redbridge is seeking to appoint a full time RE Teacher on a long term supply basis for two terms from January 2020.

Does the opportunity to teach RE from September sound perfect for you at this stage of your teaching career?

Does a temporary to permanent role also sound perfect to you?

Does your passion for RE teaching lead you to believe that this is the perfect opportunity for you?

The position includes delivering the RE curriculum up to and including Key Stage 5 so experience of teaching to this level is essential.

***Possibility of temporary to permanent
***Inspirational curriculum exists here
***Student creativity is always encouraged
***A Level teaching included

The position includes delivering the RE curriculum up to and including Key Stage 5 so experience of teaching to this level is essential.

The school strives to ensure that the curriculum that is in place is inspirational and one that enables students to continuously progress. Students will always be encouraged to express their creativity, particularly when writing and the study of religion provides the perfect opportunity to do so.

Teachers considering applying for this position must be fully qualified RE teachers with the knowledge needed to take on a role that includes teaching students of mixed ability. In addition, your passion for the subject will be infectious, which will in turn encourage students to develop a similar passion for Religious Studies and Theology.

The school is served by excellent transport links, including a variety of local bus routes from neighbouring Boroughs.

Applicants will need to hold QTS or be suitably qualified to be able to teach in schools in the UK as well as possessing effective classroom management strategies.

Should you wish to apply or would like more information, please contact Divesh Vaghela on 020 7337 0047.
