We are looking for a dedicated teacher to work within a SEN school for children between the ages of 4-11 years old to teach English. The school is based in Merton with good transport links via buses and trains.

Being an English Teacher for this school is more than just teaching, you will be an advocate and a cheerleader for your students. These children can often display challenging behaviour due to their inability/difficulty to express themselves and communicate verbally. The English Teacher will be required to communicate in a variety of different ways such as using Makaton, PECS and PODD.

The ideal English Teacher will have previous experience working with Autistic children and have the awareness of TEACCH. The ideal English Teacher will also demonstrate patience and the creativity to think outside the box to teach the curriculum, whilst demonstrating the care and resilience to support them.
